Practices for a Christmas tradition here in the east are underway.
The Dance Arts Theater is gearing up for its annual Nutcracker performance in Greenville this weekend.
About one-hundred performers and crew members started to put on the finishing touches on the performance that will take place inside East Carolina's Wright auditorium this weekend.
Countless hours have gone into making this a flawless show--but everyone involved knows it's all for a great cause. All net proceeds go to the Children's Miracle Network--which benefits the Children's Hospital in Pitt County.
Performer Allie Sneed knows all too well how important the cause is. "My brother was actually diagnosed with leukemia type A about three years ago, and about two years ago he was actually our poster child for the Nutcracker."
The Nutcracker performance will take place this Saturday and Sunday at Wright auditorium.
Performances will be 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Saturday and a 2:00 P.M. on Sunday.
Tickets are $25.00 for children under 18 years of age and $30.00 for adults.
