Greenville Christmas Parade Rescheduled

The Greenville Jaycees have rescheduled their annual Christmas Parade for Sunday, December 20 at 2 p.m.

The parade on December 5 was cancelled due to rainy weather.

Jennifer Abbott, the parade organizer with the Greenville Jaycees says the 2 p.m. start time "should allow us enough time for people to finish up with Sunday service before lining up, as well as get us all out of there before it gets too dark."

The dozens of parade entries will be asked to start lining up at 11:30 a.m. Entries are assigned specific line-up and check in times.

Would participate in this with 5 horses and riders BUT Greenville wants 50.00 per group just to ride in their parade. That is crazy. It cost people enough in fuel to get there. The organizers ought to appreciate people who would support their parade by entering floats, bands, horses, or whatever.
