Suspect In Birthday Shooting Arrested

A suspect wanted for shooting a man at a birthday party is under arrest.

The Pitt County Sheriff's Office says 34 year-old Kevin Evans of Greenville was arrested Wednesday in Greenville by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.

Evans was wanted for an August 22 shooting where authorities say he got into an argument at a birthday party with Antonio Harris then pulled out a gun and shot him.

Evans is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

To Anonymous: If that is the case, then why was he there and why did he have a gun?

The victim did not die! He bought it upon himself and Evans done what he could to protect himself. From my understanding this man just got released in March after time served and so I dont think he intended for the situation to happen this way...especially if he's now back behind bars.

It appears that if you give a teenaged or young black man a gun he is going to shoot someone.
