It looks like it's time for the trains to roll on out of here. Here being Greenville, which has been plagued with traffic tie ups because of a downtown railroad switching yard.
On Monday ground will be broken for the first part of the project to move the switching yard at a cost of $9,000,000.
Greenville has been working since 2003 to help improve traffic on Arlington Boulevard when CSX trains are performing switching operations.
Councilman Calvin Mercer says by the end of next year there should be virtually no switching done in the city, though trains will still come through.
