Woman Headed To Prison For Embezzling From A Nursing Home

A woman who used to run a nursing home in Greenville is now headed to prison for embezzlement.

Thirty-six year-old Kristi Joyner pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $130,000 while she was executive director at Sterling House in Greenville, according to the Daily Reflector, which also reports she skimmed more than $9,000 from the Pitt Aging Coalition, where she was an officer. The paper says Joyner was sentenced to at least 20 months in prison.

She didn't get any active jail time. Her sentences were suspended and she was put on probation.
