DARE Board Member Court Date Moved

She's on the board of directors for DARE- Drug Abuse Resistance Education, yet she's charged with supplying alcohol to a 20 year-old.

Deputy Amanda Tyndall was due in court Tuesday. She works for the Pitt County Sheriff's Office. State agents arrested Tyndall in September for an incident at Tie Breakers in Greenville in June. Tyndall is on the DARE Board of Directors.

Her court date has been rescheduled for January 5th.

Tyndall is the second person connected to the Sheriff's Office to face arrest this year.

In July former Lt. Michelle Pollard was indicted after an SBI investigation into whether she tipped off the target of a drug investigation.

I think it's awful this officers career is on the line for this. That 20 year old WOMAN could have had that ticket dropped and moved on with her life, instead she tries to destroy a life because she got caught. Mean mean girls.

Is it me or what? Some of your comments here are so far off it's a wonder you just don't print what your real agenda is. The arresting officer even said the girl took the drink while the off duty officer's back was turned. How in the world could this have gotten as far as it has ? See this for what it is, a big farce ! Or at least find out why the off duty officer wasn't arrested at the scene. Something is sketchy with that aspect of the case. All in all, it's a waste of taxpayer's money for someone's personal agenda . And I'm not buying it.

I just wanted to say that i dont know Amanda that well but i know her well enough to know that she is not guilty. If the SBI knew what kind of person Allison Riddle was they would not have charged Amanda. Allison has always lied and will continue to lie to cover her own behind.Amanda keep your head up your going to come out just fine. Allison will get what she deserves. By the way Allison if you would just tell the DA and SBI the truth, the SBI could go out and deal with real criminals.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to say Amanda is a great person and officer. It is sad to see her having to go through this knowing good and well she is not guilty of this matter. If the SBI had looked in to what kind of person Allison Riddle is then they would have never charged Amanda. Allison in a Chronic LIER and it will come out in court. All, I can say is Allison you might want to come up with the truth being you told the DA about her drinking at you house before yall went to Tie Breakers because, I promise you it will all come out. An Allison, all I can say is I hope you get what you deserve. Amanda good luck you will be fine. An to Pitt County if Allsion would close her mouth this county would be so much better. THANKS

Well everyone seems to be keeping up with the Tyndall case.Just let it rest until she is proven guilty or not guilty. As far as her attorney, there are a lot of good ones in gville. Les Robinson & Myron Hill. So stop bashing the legal council because they are paid to do a job for there clients. Personally i believe it needs to stop until the next court date. So let The Tyndall's have peace. Wether she's guilty or not is up to the judge & not us that only hear whats going on with the news media. So let it rest.

The law in the first place is just a money maker for the state. A person can join the armed forces at 18 and kill someone just as long as they don't drink a beer or have a smoke afterward. What she did was against the law but bad morals, please. Like non of you have ever given your little brother a beer or gave your son his first beer at 16. Don't respond with a holier than thou mess. Do any of you ever run a light? Speed? Cut people off? Alot of people up here are taking the high road when they are often on the low themselves.

Ok purebred you want to talk about double standards and the law is the law, then why is it that she was arrested? If it had been you or myself then we would have been given a ticket like everyone else! If it is possible you should research how many people in Pitt county are arrested for that very crime. I bet you wouldn't find to many!

If it were a man that done this it would be a double standerd now would it not? Most of you need to get a grip on what the law is regardless what you think about it! THE LAW IS THE LAW ! IT SHOULD NOT HOLD ANY DOUBLE STANDERD!SHE SHOULD BE THE FIRST TO KNOW.
