Health experts and county officials in the east gathered Thursday night for a summit on the H1N1 flu virus.
Residents grilled a panel of health experts and Pitt County officials on everything about the H1N1 flu virus.
Dr. John Morrow, the head of the Pitt County Health Department, fielded many questions on the vaccine, including its availability. He recommends people in Pitt County take advantage of the supply and get the vaccine.
Dr. Morrow estimates about 1,100 doses of the swine flu vaccine are available in the flu-mist or indictable form, and more will come.
Dr. Morrow highly recommends children get the H1N11 flu vaccine.
Within the last 12 days--the CDC has reported 19 deaths among children across the United States.
