Barbeque Sale Raises $45,000 For Habitat For Humanity

A huge barbeque in Greenville Wednesday raised money for Habitat for Humanity.

More than 2,700 plates of Bill Ellis Barbeque were handed out at the annual Habitat for Humanity luncheon.

At ten dollars a pop, plus huge donations from sponsors, more than $45,000 was raised.

Spence Cosby, the president of First Mortgage Corporation -- a sponsor of the event, says the money will go towards building a home in Pitt County for someone in need.

The event's been going on for the past seven years and this is the most money they've ever raised.
