Update: Authorities have cancelled a Silver Alert for Edward J. Burns. They say Burns was located overnight and is in good condition.
The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for a missing endangered man, Edward J Burns.
Burns, is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.
Anyone with information about Edward J Burns should call Sgt. Bowen at the Greenville PD at 252-329-4317.
Burns is a white man, 51 years old with black short hair and brown eyes. He's 6'2" tall and weighs 132 pounds.
He has tattoos on his forearms and stomach and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark blue coat.
Burns was last seen at 2060 West 5th Street in Greenville, NC. Police believe he could be headed to Scotland Neck.
Mr. Burns was last seen at Southern Living Assisted Care located at 2060 W. 5th St. at 11:00 pm on October 1. He has a medical condition that requires medication and has not taken his medication recently.
