Plastic Bottles Banned From Landfills

Starting Thursday, state law says plastic bottles need to be recycled, they are officially banned from landfills.

State Officials say the new law is not about penalizing people who don't recycle plastics bottles, but say it's time to keep things that can be recycled out of landfills. Pitt County's recycling coordinator says they have the ability to recycle plastic with the numbers one and two on the bottom.

As if this county does not have enough garbage on the side of the roads now this stupid law is going to make the county even dirtier then it is. Maybe it would be a better law to make people cover their garbage cans and trailers as they haul them down our roads

Having this law is about as useful as saying it is the law that all government officials must be honest. It just is not going to happen. It looks good and sounds good.
