I met Jerry at Sam's Club one day several years ago. I'm an associate there and he really made my day. God speed and my deep sympathy to his family and friends. He is in a place where there is no more sorrow or no more pain(:

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Jerry Wayne He was a wonderful DJ and was very passionate about his job and his music. He was a joy to listen to during the morning show and especially during the beach show on Sunday afternoon. I especially enjoyed hearing him talking to his daughter and wife and checking in with them every Sunday. We have lost a truly great friend and colleague. He will be sadly missed but he will never be forgotten. May God bless his family and comfort them during this time.

Our local area, state, and country has lost a terrific man in Mr. Jerry Wayne. He was always one that no matter what he had on his mind he was cheerful and full of life and radiated it to others which in turn would only help you forget your troubles and worries. His family and our Saviour should be thanked over and over for allowing him the time to be in our life also. He was always willing to give up his family time for the CMN and any other events his heart led him to believe in. I remember the first time I met him at the Radio Station when we went to talk with him about helping out with Martin County Crimestoppers golf tournament and reverse raffle and he was so quick to say yes without any hesitation. I spoke to him several times after this first visit and he was the same each time and no matter what frame of mind I was in before talking it was known that you would be laughing and full of joy when you finished. Rest in peace my friend and may God bless all of your family.

Cancer is the worst word anyone can hear from a doctor. My mother has had it twice in the last 2 years and right now with the grace of God she is cancer free. I know that Jerry did not have to suffer long and he is ow in heaven being the DJ for the great oldies of Soul and Rock and Roll that have gone. Just imagine him up there with the Temptations, Michael Jackson, Elvis, 4-Tops, etc. What a time they are having now. To his co-workers, family and friends you are in my prayers but remember you will see him again. Also my daugther is the Vol. Cord. for Pitt, Lenoir and Wayne Co. for Community Home Health and Hospice. Anyone that would like to volunteer helping a cancer patient anytime if only for an hour her name is Kelley Graham cell phone 919-222-5896. Cancer patients need love and caring. Please help--Thank you
