Two towns in the east are in line to receive 300 thousand dollars for wastewater treatment infrastructure
Thursday the Senate passed an appropriations act that will send 300,000 thousand dollars to Ahoskie and Greenville.
The bill will still need pass the house, and be signed by President Obama.
The money going to Ahoskie will help reduce the amount of wastewater to be discharged locally and provide water resources to local industries to reduce costs.
The money for Greenville will go to extend water and wastewater service to the lands east industrial park in Pitt and Martin Counties.
