Richardson Indicted For First Degree Murder

A grand jury has indicted a Greenville man for one of the most talked about and tragic crimes of the summer.

The grand jury in Pitt County handed down two first degree murder indictments to James Richardson. Richardson is accused of gunning down two men in downtown Greenville on June 30 outside of The Other Place Nightclub. It's not clear whether the district attorney will seek the death penalty in the case. Richardson is due in court again on September 30.

Shaun B if James knows the killer wouldn't you think he would of said something by now?? I know if were charged with murder, I would give up the shooter to get out of jail. Seems funny to me that he isn't talking, especially if he is claiming he is innocent! Innocent people usually talk and tell the truth and try not to hide things!

So sick of hearing about this idiot. We all know, as well as Richardson, that he is the shooter. He is just too much of a wimp to admit it. He was never good at basketball and is even worse at being a liar. If you are a good defense attorney, perhaps you should teach your client math. Apparently, he does not understand that concept.

Wish NC still had a chair or even a gas chamber. Needle is too gentle for a murder such as him.

The death penalty does work. I guarantee that if this guy gets convicted and executed, he will never kill anyone else! But don't worry. I doubt our D.A. has what it takes to seek the death penalty.

If found guilty, He should receive the full penalty allowed by law. It doesn't matter if there are riots (which I doubt will be), or what the ACLU or NAACP think. The law is the law and should not be based on politics or fear. Just because he has not done anything "bad" (according to some on here) means nothing, as all criminals started with a history of doing nothing "bad" until the 1st time! I am sure if the "other person in the car?" was there, he has told them about him/her and blamed the shooting on them. I am sure they have investigated "the other person" and either the above did the shooting or "the other person" does not exist! Maybe when OJ gets out of prison he can find the Real Killer! Oh and if rioting does occur, why is it we always see people stealing stuff out of stores, not marching to show their displeasure!

So he knows the REAL shooter and just won't come forward. WHY? If he gets the death penalty he dies anyway.

Well ShawnB. If he was accused of something as horrific as this and he knew the shooter don't you think he should be singing! He did it quit trying to pass him off as a good guy. He made a horrible mistake, one that cannot be taken back. Now for whatever reason he did it, he must pay. Gods Help! Thou shalt not kill! I sure hope God does the right thing! He can try for forgiveness at the pearly gates!
