Church Gives Needy Family New Home

A church in the East helps a needy family find a new place to call home sweet home.

The Koinonia Christian Center Church in Greenville bought a home for the Spruill family who had been living in one room at a relatives house.

Tosha Spruill and her three kids had been staying with her brother at his three bedroom apartment.

Spruill says she is a student and holds down a part-time job and could not afford housing on her own.

Bishop Rosie O'neal surprised Spruill with a bullhorn letting her know she had been selected by the church committee to receive the home.

O'neal says Spruill only has to pay $25 dollars a month which will go towards insurance.

After 3 years the title will be transferred into her name and she will hold the title free and clear O'neal said Saturday.

This is an awesome example of the manifestation and love of God working through the local church. Bishop Rosie S. O'neal is truly a "giver" and the Koinonia church family has grasped her vision. We are Blessed to be a Blessing!!

Congrats to my cousin who is more like my sis...she is a hard-worker and takes care of her kids while working and in-school. I have never seen her being more faithful and praying so much than I have over the past year--it has definitely paid off! God is good all the time!!!

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! God has really blessed that family through KCC. Wonderful idea and work Bishop Oneal. Sometimes it just takes one, but the overflow is evident and it is going to continue. God Bless and to the family keep acknowledging God and thanking Him for the blessing.

HEY!! Thats my sister!! I'm her half brother from California. I visited her and the rest of my family on my fathers for the first time in Greenville mid July 2009 after 16 years of no contact. While I was in NC She told me she was going to get her own house the next time I visit her. My stay in NC was at the same apartment with my half brother as well and was crowded like she said in the video. It was only a matter of time that her prayers were answered. This is truly a blessing for her and her kids. CONGRATZ SIS!!! SHOUT OUT TO MY FAMILY IN NC FROM MY FAMILY IN CALIFORNIA!!

Bishop Rosie is incredible. I see her on TV every now and then. Go see the video on this sight. It is amazing how a community can come together and support this effort.

This was generous of the church. But there are also public assistance programs available for those in similar situations. I'm glad see she's going to school and trying to make something of herself.
