Bethel Man Wins Lottery

A Pitt County man says it's a dream come true. That was the reaction from Kenneth Morris of Bethel after winning the Carolina Cash 5.

Morris won $146,668 in the Tuesday night drawing.

Morris says he watched the drawing on television, and then double checked the numbers online and again the next day in the newspaper. He plans to use part of the nearly $98,000 he received after taxes to buy a new car or boat.

Morris bought his winning ticket at Hatu's Quickstop on East Washington Street in Bethel.

Why don't you buy the town you live in a grocery store? You have suggested to some that we were wasting our time on Festival's and Parade's, so why don't you help the town with your winnings??? Thanks!

Cindi thanks for pointing out my one misspelled word, but before you correct me proof read your own posting. And my english has nothing to do with finances. It's like common sense scores a 10 over book sense most of the time. Bigfruitbasket, nothing wrong with giving from the heart I agree with that as well. I am only saying that trying to hold on to a little of the money makes sense but as stated he can do whatever he please with the money. I am happy for him.

Sunshine: how about giving from the heart? You make it sound like the church is a loanshark. Glad this gent won, he can do what he wants with his money. He certainly doesn't need your advice.
