Woman Injured After Running From Armed Robber

A woman was injured during a robbery in Greenville Tuesday night. .

It happened around 11:00 p.m. on Hyde Drive. Sara Schroka told police after getting out of her car a gunman approached her and demanded money. The 22-year-old woman dropped her purse and ran away. Police say she received minor injuries when she fell in the process.

The victim said the robber got into a light colored 4-door car that made a squeaking noise. He got away with her purse that contained money, checks and credit cards.

    What's up with this crime in Greenville? 9 out of 10 MORNINGS you can log on WITN and you will see some sort of armed robbery news article that happened in Greenville the night prior.

    Greenville and Rocky Mount does have the hihest crime rates for a rural area. There's big cities out west that don't have a fraction of the crime.
