Greenville Police say they are investigating the armed robbery of a man in a parking lot. The twist: the victim disarmed the man trying to rob him.
Police say they got the call at 9:22 p.m. Tuesday, that a 20-year-old man was held up in the parking lot of the apartment complex at West Victoria Court in Greenville. Police say the robber approached the victim while he was sitting in a vehicle, showed his handgun and demanded money.
Instead of handing over his money, the victim grabbed the gun from the robber and was able to disarm him. Police say the suspect then took off running. Police say the .40 caliber semi-automatic gun was turned over to police.
