Greenville Apartment Fire Called Suspicious

A fire that destroyed two apartments and damaged several others has been called suspicious in nature by Greenville fire investigators.

It started around 11:30 p.m. Sunday in the 3000 block of Golden Road.

Authorities say when they arrived on the scene huge flames were coming from the windows and doors of the apartment.

No one was injured in the fire and the person who lived in the apartment where the fire started was not at home.

The Red Cross provided aid to residents Sunday night and say both of the renters from the two units that suffered the most damage have found temporary housing.
