Murder suspect James Richardson speaks out for the first time in his own words saying he is not guilty of the crime he is accused of.

Richardson spoke on on 1340AM WOOW's radio show Tuesday morning.

He says no one has heard his side of the story but he declined to go into it when asked by the radio show host.

Richardson is accused of gunning down Andrew Kirby and Landon Blackley back in June outside of The Other Place night club in Greenville.

Richardson asks for his supporters to pray for him and he plans to walk free out of jail.

Richardson who had a court appearance last week but never made it. He blames his attorney. That attorney was then fired Friday by Richardson and he is now seeking a new one.

Everyone gets their day in court, that is what makes this a great country. But for the life of me I can't figure out why he would be sitting in jail if he was really innocent. I'm sure the food is not that good. If he didn't do it, he surely knows who did. Even if my mom was the shooter, I would dime her out and let her pay for that moment of total ignorance before I would sit in the can wasting my life away. Anyone have a logical idea of why this innocent man sits in jail while the real killer runs free ?? Does central prison have a basketball team ??

"and just about everybody be wasted." Ok are you serious? That comment only shows how uneducated some people are. Every criminal in prison is innocent so they say. He lost his temper and killed innocent people. One being a friend of mine. I hope he fries!!!

Some of you suprise me you make comments without knowing the facts... People on this site seem to think he went on the run after the shooting... no he didn't that night he was at the waffle house afterwards... he didn't flee until he found out he was a suspect which he wanted to get some help before going to the police dep knowing in racist Gville he wasn't gonna get out of this being that a number of drunk, drugged, college students and whites were pointing fingers at him. At least he turned himself in to prove he is innocent. I pray that he beats this case because you have to be proven guilty without a reasonable doubt and I think we all have some doubt when it comes to the drunken witnesses and the mysterious vanishing tape that they supposedly had.

I'm sorry.I'm going to have to see the video tape of him,in his car, pointing the gun out the window and shooting because I been downtown Greenville before,(on the weekend I might add because I do have a life and I do work) and just about everybody be wasted..So,when the trial starts,I guess the so-call witnesses either going to be in court or at their AA meeting.GET Real..I need more promising evidence then that.

I agree Get Real and others supporting real evidence. If they have video tape that can see inside this car and see this man pointing and shooting I would like to see it. And yes some credible witnesses please not someone to drunk his or her name.

I think you are all forgetting the rights that this man has. He is INNOCENT until proven guilty. The one question I have is they say he was allegedly in a car with a group of people when these 2 men were shot and killed... why arent any of the other people that were in the car sitting in jail? They could be the ones that did it. Has anyone thought about that?? Does anyone ever really think about all the different scenarios there could be? Apparently not, you are all whining about taxpayers money and things like that.. regardless you have to pay taxes whether they go for his lawyer or to keep your car on the road. I say stop whining about the little things. There is a mans life hanging in this.
