Firefighters Association Collecting Money

Firefighters in one Eastern Carolina city were out collecting for a good cause today.

The Greenville Firefighters Association took to the pavement today at the Target shopping center, collecting money for "Jerry's Kids", an association that helps kids suffering from muscular dystrophy.

According to organizers efforts have raised around $2,000. The collection goal is to hopefully reach $10,000. 15 members of the association were out with fire boots in hand collecting today.

Anyone looking to do their part can head out there tomorrow and donate.

I appreciate all the work GFD did for such a worthy cause. To good4them, to be critical of them is uncalled for. I hope you will never need the assistance of these “lazy” people.

Could it be you are disgruntled because you were not hired by GFD? You see, you must graduate from High School, and looking at the time of your post, I would say you are cleaning up someones offices, waxing floors, or making fries. A hard thought would knock you down!! FTM-PTB

With all the free time these guys have, I'm glad to see them do something worthwhile with it. What a lazy job. Do more of this GFD. Ps: I expect to get attacked.
