Highway Patrol Says No Charges In Accident That Killed Toddler

State troopers say there will be no charges brought against a father after his child died in a traffic accident late last month in Pitt County.

21-month-old Alana Judge was killed in the crash on Highway 43 the night of July 25th. Her father's car ran into a ditch, flipped several times before landing in a yard.

Troopers tell WITN News that Willie Judge, Jr. had a medical problem and couldn't avoid the accident. Three adults, including Judge, were injured in the accident.

Judge I am also for your family I pray god will be with you. I lost a son 16 years ago from an accident, not my fault. I wish you all the best.

How awful. The pain of the loss is "punishment" enough. Good call.
