Police say they've solved three home break-ins and could solve more crimes with the arrest of a Chocowinity man.
Timothy "Billy" Simpson is accused of breaking into homes in the Tar River/University area neighborhood of Greenville.
The break-ins happened last month on Harding, Meade & Lewis Streets.
Police say Simpson would either break small windows in the back of the homes, or get in through other small openings such as pet doors. Once inside, small items such as money, laptops and other small electronics would be taken.
Detectives say Simpson may be responsible for other similar crimes in that area and their investigation is continuing.
He's in jail on a $50,000 bond.
