POLICE: Greenville Bar Bouncer Throws Customer Out, Arrested For Assault

A Greenville bar employee ended up behind bars of a different kind this weekend, after his arrest for assaulting a patron.

Greenville police officers say they saw Trevor Hakanson being thrown out of Lucky's Night Club Saturday.

Authorities say Hakanson was unconscious when employee Robert Edmonds pushed him to the pavement where he fell on his face.

Hakanson was transported to Pitt County Memorial Hospital where he had to undergo surgery.

Officers think while Edmonds was escorting Hakanson to the door in a chokehold he lost consciousness.

Edmonds is charged with Assault Inflicting Serious Injury and was being held in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond.

Hooray for "The Bar Owner" This is just what was needed to be said to let everyone know that Rob was just doing his job. THANK YOU!!! As I have stated in an earlier comment if you r already downgrading the DTown clubs- then people with the negative views that r so obsessed with DTown.Probally takin your business and the trouble that you carry somewhere else would not hurt the owners or employees feelings much. For TH you're not setting a good example of being in the military. It should make people look at it differently instead of puttin all the blame on Rob. You r the one who got drunk and tearin up things and tryin to take on the world. Elbowibn Rob in the face was not your first mistake. Your first mistake was***If you can't handle your alcohol then don't drink. Most of the time nothin good comes out of it.Don't get me wrong there is nothin wrong with people wantin to have a good time but YOU TH went over the line. So maybe you need to find another way of entertainment.

to be quite honest i beleive that we need to get a PI on the lookout for trevor bc he is prolly doin alot better than we all think. rob didnt push the guy, he got to the door and released trevor. C'mon BE REAL if ur unconcious and someone releases a hold on u whats gonna happen?.. i guarantee that ur not gonna just hop up and say HELLO. U R gonna fall and bust ur face on the ground...Ooohhhh trevor could tell u that. use some sense.

Hats off to the bouncer, I like your point of view. Everybody knows so much about Lucky's b/c they go there but they hate it. Don't make no sense.

ECU, if the bouncers are so stupid, why do you come there? you must be a regular to see a number of stupid acts being commited, and of course your going to miss the thing the drunk does but youll be quick to watch when the patron is being escorted, people like you are reasons these message boards get filled up with garbage.

People are so quick to judge a situation that they know nothing about. I don't expect my bouncers to take punches or any other acts of harm from an intoxicated patron who is out of control. When you see someone being "TAKEN" out of a bar, don't be so quick to think they have done no wrong and its the bouncer who is just over reacting. If it is not you being removed, mind your own business and shut up. If you don't like the bars downtown, stay home or go to the smokeless bar across town.

The bouncers are stupid in that place. I've seen them over react every time I've been in Lucky's. I blame the owners and management for not running a better operation. Don't forget about what happened just a few months ago "DOWN TOWN" with "bouncers". The real problem is how the places are ran.

Rob didn't push the guy, he let the guy go when he walked out the door. Trevor was not pushed or hit by Rob.
