Greenville Hosted Community Youth Rally

City of Greenville held community youth rally Saturday at Thomas Foreman Park.

The rally offered a baseball game and step-shows. Those who participated in the festivities also received prizes as well as give-aways.

In the rally's fifth year, the participants stressed the need of more events to give local youth alternatives to deviant behavior.

This was the first year for the rally being held in Greenville.

You were out doing the same thing these kids do today. The city is not babysitting they finding ways to entertain and help the kids. Get a life.

So,the City is now a babysitter for irresponsible parents? I stayed out of trouble in the 60's and 70's and WITHOUT any city funded projects.WHY?Because I knew what a belt felt like, and I didn't like it....that's why!

I wish that there was more of these events for youth of all areas. We must work harder to have something for children to do, especially during the summer. I pray that others will catch on to the vision and have many more events such as this.
