There is damage reported to homes on River Road in Washington. There is no official word the damage is from a tornado.
John Pack, Director of Beaufort County Emergency Management says there were several reports of funnel clouds along River Road. A majority of the damage on River Road is close to the Yacht Club Cove. Pack says lightning hit one tree, and there is debris of trees in the area. Crews are currently working to clean things up. There are are also downed power lines in the area. Some homes in the area did receive damage, but we don't know the extent.
Pack said there were no injuries.
Trees are reported down in Tyrrell County, on a road near Fort Landing.
A funnel cloud was reported on Highway 92 east of Douglas Crossroads in Beaufort County and on Slatestone Road in Beaufort County.
There are reports of windows blown out of a home on Highway 33 east in Pitt County. There are reports of powerlines down on Highway 33 in Grimesland.
