Harry Potter mania is now underway. Movie theaters across the country and here in Eastern Carolina trying to cash in on the series with show times around the clock but cinema's aren't the only ones happy about the latest release, some local business are also excited the popular wizard has flown back into town.
Wizards, witches, goblins, and death eaters are all welcome at Party Makers in Greenville as long as they bring their wallets and don't forget to pay up when they walk out.
Store employee Mike Hudson tells WITN "You just see a lot more people coming in and buying costumes then they would, normally only come in around Halloween but for premiers more come out and everybody gets all dressed up to have a good time."
A movie release like Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince means extra sales for some businesses like costume shops, which is why they're stocked with the latest merchandise.
Michelle Jenkins is not only a Harry Potter fan but also owns a store in Downtown Greenville. She's combining the two and throwing a movie premier pre-party Wednesday night, before heading to the theaters, you guessed it in full costume.
"I used henna to die my hair Weasley red last night, I'm normally blonde, I'm a bit in shock today, gone to far but all for the cause."
