In response to recent violence in uptown Greenville, the Young Professionals of Greenville and Pitt County organization is trying to bring more attention to the good things that are going on.
The group has planned an event for Thursday, July 23rd from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m at L.A. Lounge. It will feature Greenville business owner Don Edwards who will try to focus on the positive plans for uptown.
Allen Smith of the Pitt County Greenville Chamber of Commerce says there's a lot of great places to eat and shop, and more plans are in the works for uptown Greenville that he wants people to be aware of.
They'll talk about those plans at the July 23rd event. Anyone who is 21 to 40 years old can stop by. There will be free food and drinks.
