Greenville Boulevard Reopened After Tuesday AM Crash

A major street in Greenville, closed because of a traffic accident, has reopened.

All four lanes of Greenville Boulevard were closed for several hours Tuesday morning, just past Hastings Ford. Traffic on the other end was backed up to the bridge over the Tar River.

The accident involved a pickup truck and a passenger car. Rescue crews had to cut off the top of the car to free the driver inside.

Firefighters say the two people inside the pickup truck were also taken to Pitt County Memorial Hospital. We do not know the extent of injuries, nor any details about what caused the accident.

The wreck happened just north of Sun Chase Apartments.

Seems like a big percentage of BMW drivers (from my personal experience) are bad drivers. I'm starting to think it's something to do with the car?! Maybe a blind spot or something... Anyways, I hope everyone involved is ok.

I know it it was a Mustang and the BMW caused the accident because the driver of the Mustang is my immediate family member.

Nice try everyone...the cars involved were a F150, a champagne BMW, and a silver Mustang. The jaws of life were used on the BMW to cut the driver out (which caused the accident). The man and woman in the truck were transported and the girl driving the Mustang walked away.
