New Playground For Local Kids

It was a beautiful Saturday for people to get out and enjoy the weather and dedicate a park.

Folks at Hopkins Park off of Evans Street in Greenville dedicated a new playground for local youth to let out some energy.

The equipment was donated by the Jarvis Memorial United Methodist Church, the City of Greenville Housing Authority, and the Greenville Police Department.

Over 100 volunteers showed up from around the area to help put it all together for the kids.

Those kids need a playground too. You can't penalize the children for the sins of the parents!

To GvilleGirl- Seriously? Who cares if it is in the "ghetto". Regardless if the adults that live there work or not, it is for the CHILDREN. All children, no matter where they live, should have access to playground equipment.
