ECU Professor To Dine With Vice President Biden

A political science professor at a North Carolina university is having dinner with Vice President Joe Biden.

East Carolina University says that Jody Baumgartner, an assistant professor of political science at the school, has been invited to dine with Biden on Tuesday night. Baumgartner and five other guests will speak with Biden about the vice presidency and how other leaders have approached the job.

The guests will also discuss with Biden about what vice presidential tactics have worked and what tactics have not.

Baumgartner authored the book "The American Vice Presidency Reconsidered," which documents how the role of vice president has changed over time.

Baumgartner said "the invitation came as quite a surprise."

As a conservative Democrat, I'm allowed to disagree with the direction my party is going in. The party has changed! We use to be the blue collar, Bible thumping, hardworking middle class. To me, the fact that the party has moved EXTREAMLY to the left over the years is very discouraging. We have now become a party of lazy individuals willing to sit at home and demand handouts from the government. Our party leaders are willing to spend everyone else’s money, just not their own, and have an administration who screams transparency, but is still talks out both sides of their mouths. It's sad that we as a party we have taken the direction we decided to take at both the State and Federal level.

I had Doctor Baumgartner for 3 classes while in the political science program. He always challenged his students and i'm grateful he did. Sitting down with a siting vice president is a great honor for any Political Scientist. Regardless of how some of you feel about the Biden, you should show respect for the Office.

How much will this cost the tax payers? At least Biden tells it like it is, I think he is to what ever to get the lies straight so he has to tell some of the truth.

Wow, dinner with the #2 donkey in charge. I wonder if Jody will have a teleprompter over his should for Biden to read from during dinner. God forbid if Joe has to speak for himself, there is no telling what type of top secret information Jody will leave dinner with.

What a waste of a perfectly great summer evening. Wonder what gaffe Biden will perform for the professor?
