Perdue Appoints Eastern Carolina Man Special Superior Court Judge

A Greenville Attorney and a member of the State Board of Transportation has been named a Special Superior Court Judge by Governor Beverly Perdue.

Perdue named Marvin Blount the third to the post. Prior to starting his private practice, Blount was a Special Assistant and Counsel in the U.S. Department of Justice and worked in the U.S. Small Business Administration.

    Bev, how are your going to pay for this? I mean, we are out of money, increasing taxes and you are still spending. I am sure we could wait on this appointment, ya know, when we can afford it. Folks, hows that change thing going for ya?

    Congradulations Marvin, you deserved it. Great guy and has always looked out for eastern NC when it comes to the DOT. Wonder if this means he willhave to resign from that post.

    It seems as if Bev likes her "queen" position. She can go back on her word and change things to fit HER needs.

    I thought Bev did away with all of the Special/Traveling Superior Judges....
