To Buy Or Borrow...That Is The Question

Where can you find free books, DVD's, and CD's? The public library. And that's exactly what more and more people are doing in the east in order to save money during the recession.

According to Director of the Pitt County Libraries Willie Nelms the county has seen about an 8 percent increase of people coming in within the past year.

He says a lot of that is because of the bad economy and people like to rent instead of buy. He also says it's because of the attraction of public access computers and they've seen a 9 percent increase over the past year.

The library has also been affected by the recession financially. Nelms says they've had a 10 percent budget cut within the past year.

I use the local city library often. A lot of people don't know that it is a wonderful place to get DVDs. They're only $1 and they have a lot of great movies.
