Woman Charged In Greenville Crash That Injured Seven

A Greenville woman remains in jail Thursday, after a car wreck Friday sent multiple people to the hospital including an infant.

Ann Maurice Dixon is behind bars on several charges including DWI and reckless driving.

Greenville Police tell us Dixon side swiped a car and took off around 8:30 Friday night, then she tried to pass several other cars stopped at an intersection at West Fifth Street and Memorial Drive.

Police say when Dixon's car entered the intersection, it collided with two others. Seven people were sent to the hospital, including an infant and two juveniles. No word yet on their injuries.

RT, My investigative technique is AMERICAN HISTORY where Americans have referred to mafia/organized crime associates as thugs and gang members as thugs. Your comment in itself is racist. "Who reference it in their music?" "Who brands themself?" Is this guy a musician? Did he brand himself a thug? Which style of music do you refer to? Currently, every style of music has various races of people singing it. But you and I both know who you are talking about; black rappers-although there are white rappers that call themselves thugs too. Let's employ your technique. Who still runs the mafia? Who still runs organized crime such as Madoff? What race is associated with the KKK, skinheads, supremacy movements? I can give you five, but I don't really have to. You know they are thugs too.

hope the injuries were not serious and that they are all out of the hospital by now. Driving is a privilege and with a privilege comes responsibility. If a person reads this article you will find: 1)sideswipe car, 2) leaving the scene of an accident, 3) passing cars stopped for a red light, 4)hitting two vehicles, and 5)driving while intoxicated. If she is not responsible enough to accept the privilege of driving, it needs to be permanatly removed. This woman does not need to be allowed behind the wheel. Forget the hair, the 'happy' look, and the skin color. The legal systemneeds more JUSTICE for the victims not the person doing the injury. She chose to be driving, she chose to be intoxicated, she chose to use poor judgement. Forget the lawyer. Facts speak for themselves. She is guilty.

An investigation technique to find the answer to something is to ask five questions. Who came up with the "thug" term? Who references it in their music? Who brands themself? That's only three and you already have an answer.

To Ericka. Look at the comment from anonymous at 4:05 and Dave at 8:29. "G(Gang)-Vegas!" "I didn't get my hair did yo!" They are laced with racial overtones. Even Wilma has a hidden message. I read comments here every day and have come to know what to expect from certain ones. Just stay here long enough and you will see. My post was not overly sensitive. The usual term for a black person that commits a crime is "thug." Other comments such as "these 'black' punks or 'it is what it is' are often made in this forum. Yet they do say the same things when whites commit crimes. In most cases, when a white person commits a crime, I will be the only poster that calls the him/her a thug. Trust me, the term thug is really the new n-word. The word thug, by definition, is someone that is brutal, vicious, a ruffian, etc. Even when blacks commit petty crimes they are called thugs. Yet a white person can gut a man like a pig and is not once called a thug by certain posters.

Hey Wells...I am a black female and the first thing I noticed when I saw the article was her hair. Don't be overly sensitive.
