Tournament Will Bring $$$ To Greenville

The NCAA Regional Baseball Tournament this weekend is not only exciting for Pirate fans, it's good for Greenville's economy.

The tournament is expected to pump about a half-million dollars into Greenville over the weekend. That's according to Debbie Vargas with the Convention and Visitors Bureau. That number includes lodging for other teams and their fans, eating at restaurants and shopping.

JDLabdog I meant JDLadd, I was in Wilmington when that happened and our friends who live down there did'nt have any internet working. That's where I was and the pirates apparently are not overrated after beating South Caroilna thank you very much. And oh yeah, you should not have asked that question since you did'nt show up after the Hurricanes beat out Boston. So I would have to say that you don't have much of a right to be asking that question. Why are you even living in NC to begin with? You should be down in Florida, where your lightning is?

Dave, there is no doubt about that dude, but I really don't care how much revenue that the Keystone state gets from the NHL Stanley ccup finals. To Guess Who?, I sense some jealousy that you have.

Greenville needs to be renamed Greedville.

Sam the Keystone states revenue will come from the Stanley Cup finals, which will bring in MUCH more $$ than some college baseball tournament.

To Anti-ECU, you must be sports illiterate to say that they "stink". Who in their right mind would use the word "stinks" in place of "sucks"? After ECU wins the College World Series and goes to a BCS bowl (both soon to be), then you can go crying to your mommy and daddy and tell them that you give up on sports and start focusing on something like Harry Twotter I meant Potter or some other weird stuff like that. Also one more thing to you, ECU's post-season rankings will be at least ten spots higher than their pre-season rankings. That's how it goes just about every single football season and just about every single baseball season. Dave, you should not be mad because you think that it causes more traffic problems, you should be mad because Pennsylvania does not have a single college baseball team in the tournament, meaning no extra revenue for the Keystone State. Well it looks like the South dominates college baseball over the North.

Hey AntiECU: They already have won a National Championship!
  • by AntiECU on May 28, 2009 at 07:59 PM
ECU stinks in all sports and will never win any national championships unless its in table tennis or shuffle board. Also who cares about preseason rankings!
