It's been seven long days for workers and volunteers at the Pitt County Animal Shelter. They've been working to try and stop and contain a recent parvo outbreak.
Two dogs were killed by the disease, and one got sick but is ok.
The past week all dog adoption services have been closed and that's meant that all dogs that were dropped off by their owners at the shelter had to be euthanized.
The shelter has not had any dogs test positive with parvo since last Wednesday, and hopes to reopen dog adoptions by Friday.
