University police say a former student who was arrested for pulling fire alarms has graduated to making a bomb threat.
Vern Hufnagle, who was a communications major at ECU, is now charged with false bomb threat, a felony.
University police say the 25-year-old is accused of sending the bomb threat via e-mail to the university's crime tip in-box on February 12th. Police say the e-mail was sent from an off-campus computer and said there was a bomb in the library.
Hufnagle was arrested April 2nd after police say he was seen setting off a fire alarm in Brewster Building. He was also charged with false alarms on March 24th and 26th.
He was released on a $10,000 secured bond.
