University police say three men seen in surveillance video who are suspects in a possible sexual assault and theft have been identified.

ECU assistant chief dawn Tevepaugh says charges are pending.

Police last week released photographs of the three men seen in surveillance video entering the dorm during the early morning hours of March 28th.

Previous Story

Police say they've received a lead in the robbery and sexual assault case that happened at ECU.

Surveillance video was released on Wednesday and since then ECU police say they have received a lead and are conducting interviews. The tip was from a WITN viewer.

Good Point dave but we all know that in this respect the boys will be held accountable even if she was willing at the time but too drunk to know what was going on to put up much of a fight. The fact that she woke up the next morning and felt violated is all that the jury/judge is going to care about and now 4 lives have been changed after one night alcohol and "passion".

"you cannot LEGALLY take advantage of her when she is drunk or intoxicated on something else." So you are saying the woman can say I was drunk and did not know what I was doing? Why could the guy not use the same defense?

If they are quilty they need to be prosecuted BUT their identities do not need to be released. We have all seen that lives can be ruined by a woman who claims she is a victim. I have no problem with keeping a women who claims to have been assaulted identity secret but the same has to apply to the male(s) as well.

Bud and CC have good points, I would like to remind you though that EVEN if the female was "receptive" you cannot LEGALLY take advantage of her when she is drunk or intoxicated on something else. She could have been willing to take on Greenville, but if she is intoxicated to the point that its "obvious" you better steer clear! I think it is great to have laws that protect what could be my child or yours.

Well at least now we get to hear their side of the story. If alcohol was a factor, as it seems it was, then how can this case stand up in court? Also, did they do tests on her to prove she had been sexually assaulted, like DNA tests? I'm not calling them innocent but like Concerned Citizen said when you drink you do things you normally wouldn't do. Perhaps it was assault and perhaps not, but I don't see this going anywhere useful for any parties involved; just a bad situation all around.
