A man released from prison seven months ago is one of two men now charged in a Greenville murder.
Donte Hardy and Reginald Jones, both 21-years-old, were arrested Monday by Greenville police.
The two men are accused of killing Jessie Staton in a parking lot on Chestnut Street on January 30th.
Police say robbery was the motive behind the murder.
Hardy is charged with murder, armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a felon. Jones is facing murder and armed robbery charges.
The Department of Correction web site says Hardy was convicted in 2003 and served just under six years for three armed robberies that were committed in Pitt County.
Hardy was released in September after serving his maximum sentence.
Both men are being held without bond.
