The 12th Annual Music for Miracles Radiothon kicked off Friday in Greenville to help sick and injured children in eastern Carolina.
The volume was turned up during the radiothon at 107.9 in Greenville where dj's and volunteers from the Children's Miracle Network are helping raise money to benefit University Health Systems Children's Hospital.
In 2008 there were more than 38,000 pediatric inpatient and outpatient visits from a 29-county region in eastern North Carolina. Volunteers say even in these economic times helping these children is critical to our area.
The radiothon will go on until Sunday. You can call 1-800-673-5437 with your pledge.
Folks from WITN will be there throughout the weekend as we start to gear up for our CMN broadcast at the end of May.
