Fight Like A Girl

Fighting like a girl is normally considered an insult- but for one organization--it is a slogan that stands for much more.

Members of the Pitt County Relay For Life are selling t-shirts with the slogan, "Fight Like A Girl," honoring women who battle cancer.

For three hours Friday people went to the St. James United Methodist church in Greenville to buy drink coozies, t-shirts, and sweatshirts. The proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.

Jennifer Roberts of Pitt County Relay For Life says the reason for doing this goes beyond just charity. "It's very important. I have a really good friend that survived cancer twice. I lost a very very dear friend last year from cancer. We need to keep working to find a cure."

    Fight my sisters'. My mom and my sister were diagnosised one year apart. GOD IS FAITHFUL. FACE your fears and fight with faith. Godspeed.

    Almost all the teams in Martin County are selling long sleeve & short sleeve shirts. You can contact any team to find out about how to get the shirts.

    All counties and everyone participating in Relay for Life is selling these "Fight Like a Girl" t-shirts. Just contact your local Relay for Life group if interested in donating or buying a shirt. I participate with the Craven County Oncology Angels.
