Pitt County Memorial Hospital, which recently opened the East Carolina Heart Institute, has earned accreditation from the Chest Pain Center.
PCMH is the only hospital east of Raleigh to receive the accreditation.
The hospital says with the accreditation, it recognizes the work it has done to ensure patients receive high quality care.
