A two-car crash slowed southbound traffic on Highway 11 near Hugo and the Pitt-Lenoir County line Wednesday morning. Crews set up a temporary lane for cars to pass through, according to Lenoir County Emergency Management officials.
The Highway Patrol says troopers cleared the scene by 9 a.m. Fire trucks and emergency crews responding to the crash had also cleared the scene by then.
Witnesses say the crash involved two cars, one of which was turned on its side. The other had damage to the front bumper. Lenoir County Emergency Management officials say no one was taken to the hospital; the people in the accident refused transport.
