Orange Man Visits WITN News At Sunrise

The first week of March is MS Awareness Week in North Carolina. That's why Orange Man visited WITN News at Sunrise Thursday.

Orange Man is the essence of movement. He symbolizes what many of us take for granted, which eludes those with multiple sclerosis.

“MS is the number one disabling disease among young adults,” says Kaye Gooch, vice president of programs and services for the Eastern NC Chapter. “Orange Man is a powerful symbol of the movement we take for granted. He raises awareness of MS’s effects and reminds us that together, we are stronger.”

More than 4,600 people in Eastern Carolina are living with Multiple Sclerosis, an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system.

WITN is a proud sponsor of Walk MS in Greenville on May 2. To learn more and to register, click here.

Make MS go extinct! That disease is terrible, and I have a friend who's wife had recently become diagnosed with the disease, and it has taken a toll on the family. My wife and I are giving them as much support as possible. Guess dave better stay away from Syracuse then, cause there are a whole bunch of Orange Men up there, had to at least have some cheering up going on. Hope the fundraiser becomes a tremendous success!

If I see an orange person around town I am going to deem myself crazy, grab some mace, and run!
