Police say a man wanted for trying to burn his girlfirend's home down has turned himself in to authorities.
Winterville police say Sandra Roach and several children escaped any harm from the fire.
Pernell Mosley is charged with first degree arson and communicating threats charges.
Monday morning officers went to Roach's home on Mill Street where they found the front porch on fire. Police say the 35-year-old woman was awakened by the flames and officers were able to put out the fire.
Police say earlier in the day the 43-year-old Mosley threatened to burn down the house and kill the woman. Currently there is no picture or further description of the suspect.
