Greenville Man Dies After Getting Ejected From Car

A Greenville man is dead after getting ejected out of his car. North Carolina Highway patrol spokesperson A. B. Smith says Marty Ray Dunn lost control of it late Sunday afternoon. Smith says alcohol may have been a factor.

Smith says Highway Patrol got the call around 4:18pm. The accident happened on Lester Mills Road in Pitt County.

Dunn was 48 years-old. Smith says Dunn ran his car into a ditch and as he tried to pull out of it he lost control flipping his car several times even getting ejected from the car.

Smith says Dunn was pronounced dead on the scene.

Smith goes on to say a friend of Dunn's was interviewed who said Dunn had been drinking.

This makes two fatalities in about 30 days within a couple of miles of each other. Both involved alcohol...My prayers and thoughts go out to both of these families who lost a loved one. That being said, this ought to be a real wake-up call for anybody who drinks....just don't drive, period.
