Lawmen are waiting for autopsy and additional toxicology reports, which they expect to confirm their suspicions of how a Pitt County man died.
Pitt County Sheriff's officials reported Friday afternoon the body found beside a Pitt County roadway Friday morning was that of Brian Green Dollison, age 21, of Pitt County. He has family in Grimesland.
Officials tell us they believe Dollison died of a drug overdose at another location, and his body was most likely dumped off Highway 264 bypass. The body was found near the intersection of N.C. 43 and U.S. 264.
Lawmen tell WITN the person who dumped the body could face a misdemeanor charge of concealing a death.
We'll keep you posted on their investigation.
