Tuesday, two people held up the RBC Centura Bank on Mall Drive.
Jeff Robinson, a reserve deputy and director for the basic law enforcement training, spotted a man leaving the bank wearing a fake beard and thought something was wrong.
He followed the suspect and his driver called police and the two were arrested. His vigilant action is what his colleagues are talking about Wednesday, but Robinson is modest about his involvement.
Many of the students in the law enforcement academy tell us they will follow his example of being observant on and off duty.
