A Real Kick For The Economy

The 20th Annual Beast of the East soccer tournament will be coming to Greenville this weekend and local businesses can't wait.

Over 1,000 kids and parents are expected February 7th and 8th, which is music to the ears of local restaurants, hotels and retailers which expect to benefit from families spending their money to help fuel the local economy.

The NC Department of Travel and Tourism estimates the two day event will bring in over $ 219,000.

103 teams will be participating.

Games will be played at various fields around Greenville including the Pitt-Greenville Soccer Association Soccerplex and the City of Greenville Bradford Creek Soccer Complex.
