NEW INFO: 2nd Man Charged For Grimesland Home Invasion

Deputies say after more than a month of searching, they have the second man of an accused armed robbery duo in custody.

Jailers said around 9 p.m. on Monday night, Pitt County deputies arrested 23-year-old Jimmy Caves of Chocowinity.

Caves is facing 8 counts of second-degree kidnapping, 4 counts of assault with a deadly weapon intent to kill, and robbery with a dangerous weapon among other charges.

Deputies said Caves is the other half of the duo who invaded a home on September 27th on Payton Lane in Grimesland. During the robbery, deputies say shot were fired in the home that was occupied by eight people. One of those was a ten year old child.

On October 7th, deputies arrested and charged George Perry Jr. in connection to the crime.

Caves is scheduled to go before a judge later Tuesday morning for his first appearance.

One man is behind bars, while deputies are searching for two more for last month's home invasion and shooting in Grimesland.

Pitt County deputies arrested George Perry, Jr. Monday night on River Hills Drive. He's been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, first degree burglary, eight counts of second degree kidnapping and four counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

The home invasion happened on September 27th on Payton Lane in Grimesland. During the robbery, deputies say shot were fired in the home that was occupied by eight people. One of those was a ten year old.

Deputies are also looking for 23-year-old Jimmy Caves, but say the Beaufort County man is avoiding arrest and should be considered armed and dangerous. The third suspect's identity is not yet known.

Perry is being held on a $3 million bond.

Deputies arrested a Greenville man Monday night on multiple charges including kidnapping and robbery, adding up to a $3 million dollar bond.

Jailers said 28-year-old George Perry was arrested by the Pitt County Sheriff's office Monday night on several charges including eight counts of second degree kidnapping, four counts of assault with a deadly weapon intent to kill, and first degree burglary.

Deputies have not released further details yet about Perry's case.

A magistrate set Perry's bond at $3 million ahead of his first court appearance which is set for Tuesday morning.
