Deputies have arrested two Greenville men accused of beating a customer over the head with a bat during a robbery.
Marqhuan Roberson and Steven Pollard are charged with assault with a deadly weapon and robbery with a dangerous weapon in connection with the April 12th robbery of the Country Fare store on Barrus Construction Road in Pitt County.
One of the suspects hit a customer in the back of the head with a bat during the crime. The victim was taken to Vidant Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Both men remain in jail.
